Eileen was a lawyer for some years before doing full-time theological studies at Discipleship Training Centre and Trinity Theological College in Singapore. In 1998, she completed her PhD in biblical studies at King’s College, University of London. She taught at DTC from 1999 to 2021. She is now adjunct faculty at DTC. Eileen is married to Philip Satterthwaite, who taught Old Testament & Hebrew at Biblical Graduate School of Theology (Singapore) from 1998 to 2022.

​アイリーンは数年間弁護士として働いた後、シンガポールの弟子訓練センター（Discipleship Training Centre）とトリニティ神学大学（Trinity Theological College）で神学を専攻しました。1998年にはロンドン大学キングス・カレッジで聖書学の博士号を取得しました。1999年から2021年までDTCで教鞭をとり、現在は同校の非常勤講師を務めています。 アイリーンの夫フィリップ・サタースウェイトは、1998年から2022年までシンガポール聖書神学大学院（Biblical Graduate School of Theology）で旧約聖書とヘブライ語を教えていました。
